The Town of Leverett is hiring a part-time Council on Aging Elder Outreach Worker. Duties to include, but are not limited to, outreach to elder community to identify elders who are in need of additional services and supports. Temporary Grant funded position. Not benefitted. Expected 1-3 hours per week. Pay is $12.04 per hour. A job description and application are available in the Town Hall or by calling 413-548-9699. The Town of Leverett is in need of interested people to become part of the town's call fire department. Duties include response to fires, medical, and other emergency events. Training is provided by the town and includes CPR and First Responder training. Qualifications include a valid driver's license and residence within 10 miles of the Public Safety Complex. Hours are variable depending on the timing and nature of emergency calls. Average approximately 3 hours per week. Attendance at weekly Thursday night trainings is required. Paid hourly for call and training time.

The Town of Leverett is hiring part-time Police Officers. Duties to include patrols, emergency and non-emergency responce, participation in training programs and related paperwork. Qualifications include part-time MMPTC Basic Academy certification, valid driver's license, residence within 15 miles of the Public Safety Complex, high school diploma, some police experience (not including academy training). The Transfer Station is hiring a part-time Transfer Station Attendant. Duties to include, but are not limited to, working at the Station, organizing trash and recyclables, and resident education. Approximately 4 hours per week on weekends. Pay is hourly. An application is available in the Town Hall or by calling the Administrator’s office at 413-548-9699. Leverett is an AA/EOE
