Leverett has secured grant funds to purchase the streetlights around town. For more information see Energy Committee documents.
Leverett has secured Green Communities funds to purchase the 33 streetlights found mostly at roadway intersections around town and in a couple parking lots with the goal to replace the bulbs with LEDs bulbs for energy conservation purposes. The new bulbs to be installed are planned to be Green Cobra Jr. LED Streetlight GCJ J-series. A specification sheet for the new lights, as well as a copy of the grant narrative, can be found under the Energy Committee files on this website. If anyone would like to discuss the lighting change or ask additional questions about this project, please contact Margie McGinnis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 413-548-9699. The goal of the project is to switch the lights over to LEDs in the Spring of 2021.
