Recent mass market mailings about electricity have confused some residents. Some of us are receiving invitations by email, phone, and PO mail to sign up for "more green" or "less expensive" energy plans. Constellation and CleanChoice Energy are two of these marketers. These energy suppliers are not connected to Colonial Power Group, the aggregator responsible for forming Leverett's aggregation program. The basic aggregation plan for Leverett supplies 100% wind energy from Texas. A more costly plan supplies 100% wind from Massachusetts suppliers. Residents are automatically put in the basic plan unless they opt for the more costly plan.
You can verify your membership in the Leverett aggregation program by locating the name FIRST POINT POWER, LLC. on the first line under SUPPLIER on your electric bill. The bill itself comes from Eversource, which is the DELIVERER of electricity in our area.
