Senator Jo Comerford has arranged for the legislature's Education Committee to investigate how insufficient state funding affects our schools. Leverett experiences will have a powerful impact. Please write a letter to Senator Comerford to share your thoughts on this issue. The Town and the School websites have further information and suggestions for writing your letter. You can send your letter directly. You can also bring your letter to Town Hall or the School — no later than Thursday, March 21 at 3pm — to be carried to Boston. Every letter counts! This is a major opportunity to influence state action on school funding. Now is the time to act, as the legislature reviews and amends the governor's proposed budget.
