Eco-Harvester on the Pond August 23-25

The Friends of Leverett Pond will have an Eco-Harvester ™ on Leverett Pond on August 23-25 to help control invasive aquatic plants. The Eco-Harvester uses a roller system to pull weeds with their roots and temporarily store them in a hopper. Once full, the hopper is emptied into a trailer and removed from the pond to a safe non-wetland location. Minimal effect on pond recreation is anticipated.
