Animal Control Officer and Animal Inspector

The Town of Leverett needs an Animal Control Officer and Animal Inspector. Currently these are two separate positions but could be combined. Animal Control operates under the Police Department and responds to and documents all dog complaints, domestic and wild animal questions. Animal Inspector monitors required quarantine situations and completes the annual “Barn Book”. Training is required. Current stipend is $1,507 per year for Animal Control officer and $100 per year for Animal Inspector.
