Hires Montague WebWorks to redesign site on RocketFusion platform and implement the new Open Government module
Peter dErrico contacted Mik Muller from Montague WebWorks in February of 2016 after reading that the Town of Greenfield had relaunched their website on MWW's RocketFusion platform. Talks continued throughout the year until mid December when Town Clerk Lisa Stratford reported that the Town selectboard had officially approved the redesign.
Mik came out to Leverett the following week, met with Peter and Lisa, and formulated a plan. Work began in January of 2017, and the site was launched the first week of February.
In addition to moving all the official Town content over to the new website, and using RocketFusion's standard "Town Template" layout file, which includes content buckets to display the latest files and news, and the most recently upcoming calendar events, including meeting agendas, the new website also employs MWW's powerful Open Government module.
This module not only helps manage all the Town's boards and committees, but it also helps manage their meeting agendas and minutes, with automatic emails sent to board members and the public when meetings are coming up and the agendas are officially posted.
The public can sign up for these meeting reminder emails all on their own, and manage their subscriptions easily by going to the Contact Us page or to any individual board page or board meeting page and clicking the green "Subscribe via email" button.
As the launch date came closer for the Leverett website, Peter dErrico said "This is very exciting. The Town of Leverett is taking a giant leap forward with this new website. I can't wait for it to be up and running."
Town Clerk Lisa Stratford said "I have to say, this is so much easier to use than the old Drupal website we had. Far, far easier!"
