Old Business.
*All--Our participation in the town parade; how should we promote/demonstrate our
purpose/achievements or act out consequences of severe climate change (we could all feign being way too hot and parched, about to collapse on the ground (just kidding);.
*Peggy--progress on plastic waste;
*All--Status of UMASS/Leverett solar project;
*Richard--report on town committee responses to the solar project. The Study for the Municipal MicroGrid has been launched!
New Business
*All--taking stock of ourselves: do we need new members? subcommittees?
*Portia to write an EC "press release" reminding people the multiple reasons for continuing and expanding all the energy-saving habits we can manage? . For June town newsletter (with prior committee review);.
*All--Should we mount an Energy Committee exhibit at the Town Hall, Co-op, LCA; library, or school consisting of donated photographs of bright, colorful laundry blowing elegantly in the Leverett wind under the Leverett sun? Maybe with a chart for each family demonstrating difference in electric bill during months with outdoor drying or months using electricity-guzzling dryers. People could find a way to mention/illustrate other ways families are saving electricity..
