  3. Old Business

    • - Treasurer's Report (JR)

      General Discussion...
JR will be meeting with the town accountant to review COA account information. Judi requested that the COA account information be shared with the COA so we can understand our financial situation. There are currently 3 town accounts for COA finances: The grant account from the Commonwealth/Office of Elder Affairs ($10k each year), a revolving account for donations from chair yoga and the foot clinic, and a salary account that included money from the town to pay for Carol King for Friday meals. JR will ask Margie if there is any money left in the grant account to print additional color copies of the LifePath survey for COA, the Town Hall and Library. Do Not Remove will need to be put on the cover.

    • - Friday Lunch

      General Discussion...
Friday Lunch: Lunch can be provided by Life Path. Sue Nagy will coordinate lunches. There is no start date yet. Judi will reach out to Sue about the start date and other lunch related issues

    • - Chair Yoga: . Hybrid Chair Yoga will begin on July 12. Nancy Paglia will get back to Judi about her salary. Judi will advertise chair yoga through Leverett Connects.

    • - Town Nurse

      General Discussion...
Town Nurse: Linda reached out to the Town of Greenfield to get information on the services the nurse, Sarah Fiske, will be delivering. It appears that her role is to be decided but she will be starting her position soon. She will be available 4 hours per week and will be based at the Town Hall. Jya will send the survey information to Linda who will forward it to the Greenfield Health Department for Sarah. Linda will inquire about Sarah attending the next COA meeting.

    • - MCOA Grant:

      General Discussion...
MCOA Grant: Tom and Jya are working with Margie to write a grant to hire a navigator for seniors in Leverett. The focus of the navigator will be to develop a resource information system, begin implementation and increase social connections. Suggestions are to involve intergenerational events and perhaps to increase the lunch program.

    • - Finding out how Leverett Seniors get help paying Real Estate taxes
