  2. Public Hearing

    • 7:10: Continued Public Hearing for Septic System RDA at 112 Shutesbury Rd

      MOTION, moved by Gail Berrigan, seconded by Joan Deely: to continue the RDA hearing for the septic system at 112 Shutesbury Rd to the November meeting.

      Pass: Aye: Ralph Tiner, Gail Berrigan, Jono Neiger, Isaiah Robison, Joan Deely. Abstain: David Powicki.

  3. Administrative Matters

    • 7:11: Conservation Agent position discussion

      General Discussion...
      Berrigan edited the description of the Conservation agent position. Robison will talk to the town treasurer regarding use Conservation Commission funds to increase the hourly rate for the agent position. The Commission will continue editing the position description.

    • 7:17: Town Highway Department project (emergency certificate and RDA)

      General Discussion...
      Robison will follow up with the Highway Deptartment to see if they will be working on replacing the second culvert described in the RDA (the other culvert was replaced under an emergency certificate) or if the RDA will be withdrawn.

    • 7:18: Site Visit Updates

      General Discussion...
      Berrigan visited the Eversource mitigation site (DEP file # 200-0190) to check the revegetation on the bank near the replacement culvert in response to a request from Eversource to follow-up on an Certificate of Compliance on-going condition. She said the site looked stable and that the area had revegetated. Eversource has submitted a file with photos of the stabilized mitigation site that Dowling will share with the Commission. Eversource is requesting a statement that the on-going certificate condition has been fulfilled. This will be an agenda item for the next meeting.

    • 7:32: 24 Putney Rd Enforcement Order

      General Discussion...
      The Commission sent the landowners of 24 Putney Rd a letter describing the added information they want to see on the restoration plan for the area where trees were removed with 100ft of the pond. The landowners were asked to sign and return the second copy of the letter to confirm receipt. Berrigan will follow up with the landowners to confirm that they received the letter and understand its contents.
