  1. Meeting Preliminaries

  2. Executive Session

    To discuss the reputation, character, physical condition or mental health, rather than professional competence, of an individual, or to discuss the discipline or dismissal of, or complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual. The individual to be discussed in such executive session shall be notified in writing by the public body at least 48 hours prior to the proposed executive session; provided, however, that notification may be waived upon written agreement of the parties. Selectboard will reconvene in Open Session after the close of Executive Session.

    • 7:00: Pole hearings for Montague and North Leverett Roads

      General Discussion...
      Joe McCarthy was present to represent Eversource. He explained that Eversource is upgrading the wire size to higher voltage and heavier wire, therefore the span between poles needs to be under 200’. They are also adding poles to increase reliability to customers. He had already met with the Oberprillars who were at the last meeting with concerns that the pole was going to be in the middle of a driveway they are about to construct.

      MOTION, moved by Julie Shively, seconded by Tom Hankinson: Motion: To approve the placement of new poles as presented by Eversource. Vote: 3-0 in favor.

      Pass: Aye: Julie Shively, Tom Hankinson, Melissa Colbert.

    • Approve minutes of July 20

      MOTION, moved by Julie Shively, seconded by Tom Hankinson: The minutes of July 20 were approved as amended.

    • Award gas fuel bid for Fy22

    • Reserve Fund Transfer Request-Animal Control Expense

  5. Mail

    • Email from resident about Long Hill/Depot Rd intersection

      General Discussion...
      There had been a request from a resident to have the Select Board record and post recorded meetings to the website to be viewed at a later date. Several questions came out of the request. Lisa will find out if we have enough room on the website; Melissa will see if go-to-meeting meetings are automatically recorded. Other boards and committees would be responsible for posting their own recorded meetings. Aaron B. suggested audio recordings if space on the website is a problem.
